Trophy Hunting

Canned hunts are a practice of trophy hunting a certain species by piling their food source in a pile and releasing multiple individuals to feast while humans kill the animals while they eat.

Hunters falsely justify their practices lead to conservation. Killing does not result in conservation and no communities are being helped. Many trophy hunters target endangered or rare species which only contribute further to the problems. What to do: Support wildlife centers that rehabilitate and release into the wild. Support anti poaching efforts.

Animal Abuse and Neglect

Abuse and neglect is a problem. Although there are laws against animal cruelty the punishments are light and not accountable. Many attain animals but do not know how to care or behave around them. What to do: Sign and start petitions for harsher penalties for abusers. If you witness actual abuse, report it to rescue group. Heavily screen those who attain animals. Spay and neuter.
