Dumpster Diving

•  Ensure you are ok to dumpster dive in the location you choose.

Do not trespass or go into locked-up dumpsters

• Be safe and wear protective gear such as gloves,  goggles, masks, long pants, and sleeves. 

                           The dumpsters may have sharp edges, hazardous chemicals, and other dangerous materials.

• Bring tools such as step stools for climbing, receptacles for finds, screwdriver, box cutter, hand cleaner, etc..

Sealed food (never eat opened food found in a dumpster!)

Furniture

Decorations

Wood/Lumber

Many businesses throw away expired products a few days to a few months before the expiration date.

• Apartment complexes. 
• Grocery stores, bakeries, and thrift stores. 
• Construction sites. 
• College campuses
