Green Initiatives and Teams

At Za Da Zeal, we believe anyone should be able to initiate improving their environment and we want to provide resources to help along the way. Below we have provided some information and examples of eco-friendly initiatives for home and business.

For the Home or Multi Dwellings

Building Attributes

Inquire about tax incentives for sustainable remodeling projects or additions

If possible keep blinds/shades drawn up on windows in sunlight, particularly in the winter, to provide a natural source of heat and light. This will also help reduce the electrical consumption.

Utilities

Contact your local gas and electric providers about sustainability products and programs (the larger companies usually have programs)

Motion-activated sink faucets/Aerator (to reduce water usage)

  If you want to form a sustainability team at your workplace,  you may want to work on a business proposal to provide appropriate personnel. In the business proposal come up with a mission statement, set goals (maybe smaller to begin with) and make plans to meet those goals. Schedule regular meetings and track progress.
